Sales Manager – Full Time


The Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts is a growing non-profit dedicated to the
restoration and preservation of historic property, cemetery maintenance, burial services, and
community education. With 120 cemetery properties and counting under its ownership, JCAM is
recognized both nationally and locally for its industry leadership and high standard of service in
the community.

An increasingly complex operation, JCAM will soon migrate to cutting edge technologies for
preserving archival data, mapping cemeteries, and providing community access to historical
records. Our organization’s work is rooted in the historic preservation of the cemeteries we care
for but extends to informal education, genealogical research, the enhancement of public space,
and many other applications.

JCAM seeks a professional who is passionate about serving the community, bringing history into
new light, and advancing an important mission. JCAM is currently seeking a full time Sales
Manager, reporting to the Executive Director, to assist with the sales promotion and fulfillment
needs of our growing organization. We are looking for an experienced, results-driven individual
to actively recruit and engage client prospects.


  • Work closely with Sales Team regarding creation and implementation of sales and
    marketing strategies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding grave purchases, transfers, and assignments
  • Lead property tours throughout Boston area to prospective customers and partners
  • Establish system for tracking and client follow-up
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in archived records around lot ownership and transfer
  • Assist with migration of records and data into cemetery management software
  • Process requests for services from families and conduct funeral intakes
  • Share weekend “on call” responsibilities for scheduling burials/funeral services on JCAM


  • 3-5 years experience in client-facing position; customer service, outside sales.
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams – experience with CRM program (i.e. Salesforce)
  • Comfortable with deciphering maps and working with archival documents
  • Capable of maintaining composure in sensitive circumstances with clients and the public
  • Collaborator willing to step in as needed to support team members and projects beyond normal
    scope of the position
  • Has working vehicle for traveling locally or regionally among JCAM properties

Office Administrator Position – Full Time

Massachusetts and is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of historic properties,
cemetery maintenance, burial services and community education. With 120 cemetery properties
under its ownership, JCAM is recognized both nationally and locally for its industry leadership
and high standard of service in the community.

JCAM is seeking an experienced, multi-talented individual to fill the position of Office
Administrator. This position requires knowledge and experience in general office
administration as well as the ability to handle the varied supervisory functions of our cemeteries.

The position requires a results-driven individual who can meet deadlines and work efficiently in
multiple processes, maintaining a professional demeanor and composure in all situations. The
successful candidate will need to be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks

Due to the nature of this nuanced business, a demeanor of confidence, flexibility and caring is
needed when dealing with the general public, cemetery caretakers, contractors, funeral directors
and grieving families. This position will report to the Executive Director.


  • Ability to manage and handle the general public in a professional manner
  • Works with funeral directors and shares incoming burial intakes when needed
  • Assists in preparing yearly vendor/contractor agreements
  • Performs or facilitates maintenance of office equipment when needed
  • Oversees day-to-day operations with vendors/contractors
  • Ability to handle and follow through to completion outside family concerns/requests
  • Knowledge of various departmental operations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Ability to interface with cemetery caretakers/workers, funeral directors, contractors,
    vendors and office staff
  • Must have own vehicle

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or higher in business, administration and/or related field preferred
  • At least 5+ years of administrative experience preferred
